Most astronomers may have knowledge of astronomical telescope lenses, usually divided into spherical lenses and aspherical lenses. So what's the difference between aspheric lenses, spherical lenses and aspheric lenses?
What is aspheric surface
Aspherical lenses have the name that the surface of aspherical lenses is different from that of ordinary spherical lenses. In order to pursue the thinness of the lens, the surface of the lens should be changed, and the aberration and deformation of the lens are increased in the past, and the results show obvious bad images, the distortion of the horizon and the narrow field of vision. Now the aspheric surface design has corrected the image, solved the problem of distortion of the horizon, and made the lens lighter, thinner and flatter. Moreover, it still maintains excellent impact resistance and makes wearers safe to use. The surface radians of aspheric lenses are different from those of ordinary spherical lenses. Spherical lenses make the aberrations and deformations increase. The results show obvious bad images, distortions in the horizon and narrow field of vision. Now the aspheric surface design has corrected the image, solved the problem of distortion of the horizon, and made the lens lighter, thinner and flatter. Moreover, it also maintains excellent impact resistance.
What is a sphere
Compared with the traditional spherical lens, the shape of the front surface of the aspherical lens is more complex, and the curve is curved from the center of the lens to the edge of the lens. For a double aspherical lens, the surface of the lens is gradually leveled toward the edge of the lens; for the aspheric surface, the surface gradually steepsteeped toward the edge of the lens. This changing surface has many important advantages. One of the most important advantages is its beautiful appearance and excellent optical performance.
After knowing the difference between the sphere and the aspheric surface, the astronomical telescope manufacturer will take you to see how it is easy to identify it, and recommend a small technique of naked eye observation. Compared with the aspherical surface of the same material and the same degree, the aspheric lens is more flat and thinner, and the object is more realistic and more natural and comfortable. If the shape of the film is looked at the lamp tube, the light tube reflected by the spherical lens is generally straight (except for the high photometric lens), and the shape of the light tube is more curved because of the different curvature of the surface of the surface. The advantage of aspherical lenses for a very high prescription eyesight is more obvious than for a lighter prescription, because its advantages are only evident in those with very deep corrected vision, so the higher cost telescope lenses are more suitable for depth correction.
